Are all the Roma the same?

Are all American or British equal? Of course not. Actually, by saying this means you have some prejudices, such as they will “never change”, always ” beg and steal” and “they are work-shy” – uvw. in mind.
There are many different ethnic groups among the Roma and even beyond to the larger family clans that maintain very different traditions and rituals, usually that have been passed from generation to generation.
Naturally, the number of academics among the Roma is still low, however politicians, professional musicians, professors, doctors, lawyers, police officers, etc.can be found amongst them.

WHERE DO THE PEOPLE OF ROMA U. SINTI ORIGINATE FROM?

Although there is no exact history about the origin of the Roma on the basis of linguistic research it can be presumed that the Sinti and Roma come from Punjab, North-West India.

The roots and development of the Roma may have originally been in India and based in Hinduism, caste system and polytheism, but it did not stop there. It proceeded, to a large degree, over the centuries, to be influenced by the society in which each ethnic group settled, even if this was only by coercion, abuse, or to escape threat. Consequently nowadays you will find Sinti and Roma as Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Muslims, etc.

SHOULD WE GIVE ROMA BEGGING ON THE STREET SOMETHING?

On this question I myself have no answer. I always check my heart and sometimes I give and sometimes I do not give. Not every child begging belongs to a criminal gang. In many cases this is the way to alleviate the plight of the family. Begging, even if it is perceived in some cases as a profession, is not fun.
